Website Redesign Proposal

This was the product of an independent assignment while I worked with ING Magazine. The current website that ING is hosted on is outdated in both usability and design. I chose to create a wireframe with a fresh, new design using Canva while drawing inspiration from Quotes Mag and Teen Vogue.

After my well-received presentation, we drafted a redesign proposal to the company that owns the magazine, M3 Group.

Although we proposed certain WordPress themes for M3 Group for inspiration, they are using my design as the sole inspiration for the new website, which is a current work in progress.

OLD WEBSITE

A few factors to explain why the ING editorial team wanted to redesign the website:
-The layout wasn’t aesthetically pleasing or functional.
-Large visuals and main menu could be overwhelming and confusing to the viewer.
-We needed more pages and information that would educate our readers, attract future talent for the magazine, and better represent our style and voice as a student publication.

MY WIREFRAME AND DESIGN SUGGESTIONS

A few pages I suggested were “meet the team”, as well as a more organized category map under the main menu.
